Quilting is a form of sewing that uses special technique and precision execution. Unlike any other type of sewing, quilting has its own set of rules. I learned to sew at a very young age by sewing Barbie Doll clothes from scapes of cloth my mom would give me. Everything was sewed with a 5/8″ seam. When I took my first lesson for quilting I quickly learned there was a different set of rules. All seams in quilting are only 1/4″. The more perscise you sew, the easier it is to assemble your quilt. I have been quilting for about 8 years now and find it one of the most rewarding exercises I can do.
